HarborHaus designed and installed a fully integrated technology infrastructure for The Beacon in Sag Harbor, centered around a UniFi Dream Wall that provides enterprise-grade routing, switching, Wi-Fi, security, and surveillance management from a single platform. The deployment included managed PoE switching, Verizon 5G internet failover, secure business networks for staff, guests, and POS traffic, enterprise-grade wireless coverage, and remote cloud management for proactive monitoring.

Although the existing InVid surveillance system had been installed years before HarborHaus became involved, the recorder unexpectedly failed shortly after our network installation due to water damage caused by a leak. Rather than replacing the failed NVR and leaving the restaurant without video surveillance, HarborHaus leveraged the UniFi Dream Wall's built-in Protect platform to quickly migrate all compatible Ethernet PoE cameras to the new system. This restored surveillance operations within a short period of time while extending the life of the existing camera infrastructure and eliminating the need for an immediate replacement NVR. The remaining legacy coax cameras continued operating on the existing system until they can be upgraded in the future.

To further improve system reliability, HarborHaus installed a CyberPower 1500VA pure sine wave UPS together with a CyberPower Cloud Monitoring Card, enabling continuous remote monitoring of battery health, power events, and UPS status. This allows HarborHaus to proactively identify potential issues before they impact the restaurant's operations.

The completed infrastructure includes:

Secure remote monitoring and management of the complete network infrastructure

This project demonstrates HarborHaus' ability to design resilient, business-critical technology systems while also responding quickly to unforeseen hardware failures. By leveraging the capabilities of the UniFi Dream Wall, HarborHaus restored surveillance with minimal downtime, protected the client's investment in their existing camera infrastructure, and delivered a modern platform that is easier to manage and expand in the future.
