Network Recovery & WiFi 7 Upgrade
📄 What We Did:
HarborHaus completed a full modernization and recovery of the property’s network infrastructure following issues with the previous IT provider. The existing network equipment — including a UniFi gateway and 400W PoE switch — had been locked out of the prior management system, and ownership had not been transferred to the property owners. HarborHaus fully factory reset and rebuilt the environment, restoring complete ownership and administrative control back to the client.
Unlike many IT providers, HarborHaus ensures all systems are transferred to and remain under the ownership and control of the client at the conclusion of every project.
As part of the project, HarborHaus removed five outdated wireless access points and upgraded the property to six new WiFi 7 access points for significantly improved wireless coverage, performance, and device capacity. The installation included new U7 Pro Wall access points and upgraded outdoor wireless coverage.
HarborHaus also fully rewired and reorganized the IT rack, installing a clean patch panel layout and properly dressing all cabling for improved reliability, serviceability, airflow, and long-term maintenance. The network infrastructure was rebuilt to professional commercial standards with clearly organized and labeled connections.
Additional upgrades included installation of a new UPS battery backup system with cloud monitoring capabilities to improve system reliability and remote diagnostics. HarborHaus also replaced the property’s costly backup internet service with a more cost-effective 5G failover WAN solution, maintaining internet redundancy while substantially reducing recurring operating costs.
The completed system now provides a modernized, centrally managed network infrastructure with improved reliability, faster wireless performance, proactive monitoring capabilities, cleaner rack organization, and streamlined failover internet connectivity.
