Whole-Property Network & Wi-Fi Modernization

📄 What We Did:

HarborHaus modernized the network infrastructure of an approximately 8,500-square-foot Hamptons residence on more than three acres, including extensive outdoor living areas, a pool and remote tennis area.
The property previously operated two separate Eero mesh networks, resulting in overlapping coverage, inconsistent roaming and several legacy devices that were difficult to locate. HarborHaus replaced this with a centrally managed UniFi network built around a Dream Machine Pro and Pro Max 24 PoE switch, with nine U7 Pro Wall access points throughout the residence and dedicated U7 Outdoor access points extending coverage across the property. All primary access points are hardwired rather than meshed.

During the conversion, HarborHaus tracked down and eliminated hidden Eero access points, including units concealed in the attic and in an outdoor enclosure behind the pool. These discoveries also uncovered dependencies from the previous alarm installation, allowing us to redesign the alarm communicator's network connection without relying on obsolete Eero equipment.

On-site testing identified exterior coverage gaps around the front porch and garage, leading to an additional hardwired outdoor AP designed specifically for that area. A dedicated AP at the remote pool area provides complete poolside coverage, while another outdoor AP serves the remote tennis area.

We also hardwired every Sonos zone, improving multi-room audio reliability while reducing unnecessary Wi-Fi traffic.

For resiliency, the system includes a UniFi 5G Max Outdoor with Verizon cellular backup for Internet failover, plus a CyberPower OR500LCDRM1U UPS with cloud monitoring for the network infrastructure.

The result is a single, professionally managed network providing reliable connectivity throughout the residence, pool, tennis area and surrounding property—with hardwired Wi-Fi, hardwired audio, cellular failover, monitored battery backup and full HarborHaus remote visibility.
